The favorite decoration style of 2020

We like simple, practical and natural houses . May the environment that surrounds us be welcoming and warm. The houses that when you arrive transmit calm and serenity to you. But with a special touch, they talk about the people who live there. We like houses where the color palette is neutral and where natural materials are mixed. Materials such as glass, natural fibers and wood. Houses that are imperfect but at the same time are perfect, where disorder seems to have order. And above all, the houses where the philosophy "less is more" becomes a way of living it.

All of this that we like is found in the 2020 decoration style : Japandi . It keeps appearing as a new 2020 trend in decoration magazines. It is the fusion of Japanese style and Scandinavian style .

The Japandi style has "that something" that predominates simplicity and relaxation. They are minimalist interiors but at the same time they are warm, they are studied down to the smallest detail. But at the same time, a casual and natural atmosphere is perceived.

Japandi interiors are simple and functional. There are no unnecessary objects, nor luxury objects. Some handmade ceramic plants and accessories. The furniture, as in the Nordic style , has clean and minimalist lines and above all practical. They tend to be quite low, something that in Japanese philosophy encourages people's connection to the land.

In terms of color palette, warm tones such as brown, beige and wooden elements are mixed with colder pastel tones , such as blue, gray and green. That is, muted tones and natural tones .

Japandi interiors are minimalist but warm at the same time, using materials typical of Japanese culture, such as bamboo, rattan, paper and light woods.

With this new style, it is clear that it is not necessary to overload a space to convey that feeling of home warmth that we like so much. Below, I leave you some images of the Japandi Style.
