Before and after: a renovated 60s apartment in Vigo
This apartment from the 60s has undergone a great change at the hands of the Himera architecture studio. Normally old apartments have a very closed distribution, the great challenge for the studio was to convert it into a spacious, bright and functional space. Everything that was left over had to be eliminated. Reducing the hallway as much as possible and revealing the concrete beams and pillars, reducing the thickness, thus achieving more meters that they added to the living room and one of the bedrooms . On the other hand, in the renovation, the combination of white and wood predominates, providing light and warmth to the apartment. It also has two large sliding glass doors and white lacquered metal profiles that communicate with the office space, the living room and the kitchen, thus giving space and more light to the home. In any case, since a picture is worth a thousand words, we show you the before and after of the renovation with photographs of the old home, which has nothing to do with today. We hope you like it and it inspires you (for a future renovation).
